Week no. 49 :: Gift guide round-up

‘Tis the gift-giving season, so I thought I would compile some of my favorite gift guides this year. Hopefully they help you find the perfect something for the loved ones on your list! Stay tuned early next week for our own gift guide…

no. 1 / I love this round up of ethical, thoughtful gift ideas from The Good Trade. Many of them revolve around self-care and experience-based gifts—an alternative to more clutter and senseless consumption. I love the idea of giving classes or workshops, a book of the month club, or a nationwide museum membership.

no. 2 / Heidi Swanson of 101 Cookbooks never fails to come up with a list of the most beautiful things for your kitchen. Check out her 30+ gift ideas for the cook in your life. I especially love the Jacob May cutting boards, the Donabe clay pots, and Sarah Kersten ceramics. This Leaves and Flowers wellness tea blend is one of my absolute favorites.

no. 3 / Local Milk always compiles a stellar line up of beautiful things in her annual gift guide. This year it’s broken up into minimalist home goods, ethical fashion, gifts for the intentional kitchen, wellness and self care, gifts for littles, and gifts for him. Bonus: there’s a stocking stuffer section too!

no. 4 / For your little, Maisonette presents some pretty sweet giftable ideas. They have a couple of gift guides, but this best-of list has some pretty adorable toys on it. They have a list of gifts for newborns too.

no. 5 / For your pup, Dog Milk has compiled some great guides for item-specific gifts, like sweaters, toys, bowls/feeders, collars/leads, and beds.

no. 6 / Poketo always has fun, eclectic gifts on their gift guide. You can shop by profession, by astrological sign (not sure how they figured this out, but go with it!), or by price range. They also have pre-made gift sets. There are lots of items that make great stocking stuffers, like this Kinto Travel Tumbler, Boy Smells Candles, and Moon Bath Tea.

no. 7 / This list wouldn’t be complete without gifts for the stationer! One of my favorites is D.C.-based, Appointed. They don’t have a gift guide, exactly, but they do have some lovely curated gift sets for the stationery lovers in your life.
