Week no. 48

I was away for a week and a half and then out and about over the holiday weekend, so I’m playing catch up this week for the past month (!)

no. 1 / My trip to San Francisco for the Renegade Craft Fair was great but also a little bittersweet because of the wildfire smoke from the Camp Fire. I was basically homebound in Oakland due to the unhealthy air quality. However, I spent a great couple of days in Yosemite National Park, where I visited the Mariposa Grove, Taft Point, and hiked the meadow trail near the Big Trees Lodge. I also got to check out West Coast Craft before I headed home.

no. 2 / The holidays are officially here! When you work in an industry where you’re forced to think about the holiday season months in advance, it’s hard not to get swept up by everything in September. But now is the perfect time to send out some holiday cards! We have a great selection available in the shop. We also love adding custom messages to holiday cards. Let us know if you’re interested in buying in bulk or personalizing your order!

no. 3 / This is the first year we’re not traveling back to the East Coast for Christmas. While I’m sad I won’t be able to see friends and family in Ohio, I’m also looking forward to getting my own Christmas tree and decorating our space. Gathering a bunch of holiday inspiration on Pinterest, particularly Scandinavian in nature.

no. 4 / I had a wonderful Thanksgiving surrounded by friends. There was so much good food—we always go potluck style—but I contributed the following dishes: vegetarian mushroom thyme gravy, challah bread stuffing (I subbed rye bread—so tasty), and this kale salad with tahini dressing (I subbed delicata squash for the sweet potatoes and loved the result).

no. 5 / If you’re on the hunt for the perfect gift for her, my talented friend, Agnieszka of Oru, a beautiful jewelry line, is having a birthday sale! Use the code INSTABIRTHDAY for 25% off! Ends Sunday, 12/2.

no. 6 / Thinking of Christmas gifts (for myself), and I’d love a nice pair of winter gloves, an Appointed planner, some Machete hoops, a cute teapot from Ghost Wares, East Fork’s everyday bowls in morel, Lightwell Co. woodsy smelling candles, and this amulet from Molly Debiak.

no. 7 / I’m printing some lovely, minimal herbal display cards for Ardor Apothecary today. Excited to share them in Instagram—be sure to check it out in my stories!
