Branding Work :: MinErbs
Earlier this year I had the pleasure of creating the brand identity for Nikita & Simona, the mother and daughter-in-law duo behind MinErbs, a line of wildcrafted, 100% natural, handmade skincare essentials for mother and baby. The name, MinErbs, reflects the balance of minerals and herbs curated largely from the botanical bounty surrounding Grants Pass, Oregon. Born from remedies passed down from Simona's Latvian roots, MinErbs creates specialty products for children and expecting mothers such as baby powder, diaper cream, belly butter, gentle soap, and bum balm. But MinErbs is about more than just offering natural home necessities—it’s about educating mothers to create an intentionally clean and holistic, healthy lifestyle for their families.
Simona's Latvian heritage inspired the clean but whimsical illustrations featured in the logo and the brand build out. I wanted to focus on the botanical ingredients in the products, as well as play on the folk designs of the Baltics. Ultimately, it was about creating a minimal design that was warm, light, and playful while alluding to the organic nature of the products. The packaging was expanded by Nikita herself, an amazing photographer with a eye for design.
I cannot wait to purchase some of their goods for the mothers-to-be I know out there! Be sure to check out the line of incredible products they currently have in their online shop. You can also follow along on Instagram.
